Water management district implementation of Florida-friendly landscaping. — Each water management district shall use Florida-friendly landscaping, as defined in s. 373.185 , on public property associated with buildings and facilities owned by the district and constructed after June 30, 2009. Each district shall also develop a 5-year program for phasing in the use of Florida-friendly landscaping on public property associated with buildings or facilities owned by the district and constructed before July 1, 2009.
