Cal. Welf. & Inst. Code § 14452.3

Each prepaid health plan shall provide the services of an optometrist and ophthalmologist when the prepaid health plan contract requires the provision of vision care services. Vision care services shall be provided so that an enrollee may be seen initially by either a physician or an optometrist. (Added by Stats. 1974, Ch. 983.)
