Advice and counseling may be provided by the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy program within the California Department of Aging to individuals interested in purchasing long-term care insurance or health care service plan contracts that cover long-term care services approved and certified pursuant to this division. (Amended by Stats. 1999, Ch. 802, Sec. 11. Effective January 1, 2000.)
