Resignation of registered agent

Resignation of registered agent. — (1) In order to resign as registered agent of a limited partnership or foreign limited partnership, the agent must deliver to the Department of State for filing a signed statement of resignation containing the name of the limited partnership or foreign limited partnership. (2) After filing the statement with the Department of State, the registered agent shall mail a copy to the limited partnership’s or foreign limited partnership’s current mailing address. (3) A registered agent is terminated on the 31st day after the Department of State files the statement of resignation.
