§ 4966.  Permit for movement of quarry equipment. An annual permit may be issued for the movement of a piece of quarry equipment or machinery exceeding the maximum size or weight specified in this chapter across any highway other than a freeway from one part of a quarry to another, or upon the highways other than freeways connecting by the most direct route any quarries or portions of quarries under single ownership or operation, but no permit shall be issued for the movement of equipment or machinery for a distance greater than one mile.
