§ 4964. Oral authorization following emergency or accident. In the event of an emergency or accident affecting the public safety or convenience,
the department and local authorities may orally authorize the operation or movement
of a vehicle or combination which exceeds the maximum size or weight specified in
this chapter provided a permit is applied for within 72 hours of the operation or
movement.
