5.   A contracting unit which intends to enter into a contract with a private vendor for the provision of wastewater treatment services pursuant to the provisions of this act shall notify, at least 60 days prior to issuing a request for qualifications from interested vendors pursuant to section 6 of this act, the division, the department and the Department of the Public Advocate of its intention, and shall publish notice of its intention in at least one newspaper of general circulation in the jurisdiction which would be served under the terms of the proposed contract.    L.1985,c.72,s.5; amended 1994, c.58, s.61; 2005, c.155, s.101.
