Notaries and other officers not disqualified by interest in association; validation of prior instruments

No notary public or other public officer shall be disqualified from taking the acknowledgment of or witnessing any instrument, in writing, in which a savings and loan association is interested, by reason of his holding an office in or being a member of or being pecuniarily interested in or employed by such association so interested; and any such acknowledgments or attestations taken prior to April 1, 1975, are validated. Amended by 2016 Ga. Laws 450,§ 7-4, eff. 7/1/2016.
