§ 5742. Licensure required. No person shall engage in, or continue to engage in, the business of a bail bondsman
unless the person has been licensed by the department as an insurance producer under
Article VI-A of the act of May 17, 1921 (P.L.789, No.285), known as The Insurance
Department Act of 1921, and possesses a casualty line of authority. (Oct. 5, 1980, P.L.693, No.142, eff. 60 days; July 2, 2015, P.L.110, No.16, eff. 120
