A local law enforcement agency taking fingerprints pursuant to RCW 9.41.121 may charge a reasonable fee to recover as nearly as practicable the direct and indirect costs to the local law enforcement agency of taking and transmitting the fingerprints. A local law enforcement agency taking fingerprints pursuant to RCW 9.41.121 must check for valid existing warrants for arrest of the applicant.
