§ 4705. Inspection of vehicles for transportation of school children. (a) State Police inspection.-- The owner of every school bus shall, in addition to any other inspection required
by this chapter, submit the vehicle to the Pennsylvania State Police annually prior
to operating the vehicle for the transportation of school children during the school
year, to determine whether the vehicle conforms with the provisions of this chapter
including regulations promulgated by the department. If the vehicle is in conformance,
a certificate of inspection and approval shall be issued by the Pennsylvania State
Police. (b) Display of certificate.-- No vehicle requiring a certificate of inspection under the provisions of this section
shall be operated without prominently displaying the certificate, in the manner directed
by the department, in addition to any other certificate required by law, on any of
the highways of this Commonwealth.
