Composition of the Commission

(a) The Commission is composed of 22 members as follows: (1) 19 public members appointed by the Governor, one of whom shall be a student; and (2) 3 ex officio members as follows: (A) the State Superintendent of Education or his or her designee; (B) the Executive Director of the Board of Higher Education or his or her designee; and (C) the Director of Veterans' Affairs or his or her designee. (b) The President and Minority Leader of the Senate shall each designate a member or former member of the Senate and the Speaker and Minority Leader of the House of Representatives shall each designate a member or former member of the House of Representatives to advise the Commission.
