Sec. 13.306. APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN FEDERAL PROGRAMS. (a) The department may apply to any appropriate agency or officer of the United States for participation in or the receipt of aid from any federal outdoor recreation program. (b) The department may contract with the United States or any appropriate federal agency to plan, acquire, and develop outdoor recreation resources of the state in conformity with the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 or any other federal act to develop outdoor recreation resources of the state. (c) The department shall keep financial and other records relating to the programs under this section and shall furnish to appropriate officials and agencies of the United States and of this state reports and information reasonably necessary for the administration of the programs.
