(A) The tactical uniform shall consist of the following items: (1) A tactical shirt: (a) The sleeve-length set at the discretion of the sheriff for performance, environment, safety, and comfort; and (b) The word "SHERIFF" in all capital letters must be embroidered on the front of the shirt or an embroidered patch attached to the front of the shirt; (2) Tactical trousers set at the discretion of the sheriff for performance, environment, safety, and comfort; (3) Footwear: the type of footwear set at the discretion of the sheriff for performance, environment, safety, and comfort; and (4) All mandatory uniform items specified in rules 311-1-14 to 311-1-16 of the Administrative Code. (B) The color of the tactical uniform shall be determined by the sheriff.
