An initial application submitted by an out-of-state (foreign) corporation must be accompanied by a copy of the certificate issued by the Indiana secretary of state admitting them to do business in Indiana. Thereafter, a copy of the certificate will not be required, but: (1) current status with the corporations division of the secretary of state's office will be checked at the time of renewal; and (2) any foreign corporation not in good standing will not be issued a prequalification certificate even though approved by the certification board until good standing is verified.
