Subpart 1. IBC section 709.1. IBC section 709.1 is amended to read as follows: 709.1 General. Vertical and horizontal smoke barriers shall comply with this section. Smoke barrier openings shall comply with Section 909.5.3. Subp. 2. IBC section 709.5. IBC section 709.5 is amended by adding a new exception to read as follows: 3.
