SECTION 707, FIRE BARRIERS

IBC section 707.5 is amended by adding a new exception, before subsection 707.5.1, to read as follows: 3. Other fire barriers shall be permitted to terminate at a top enclosure complying with Section 713.12. Such top enclosure must be continuous either to the underside of the roof sheathing, or to an exterior wall, fire wall, or other fire barrier providing equal or greater fire protection.
