Safeguarding vaccine access for all families

The Department of Health shall develop plans to create and manage a Pennsylvania-based program that ensures that children in this Commonwealth who are eligible for the Federally supported VFC program retain access to necessary vaccines without cost sharing, in the event that ACIP removes vaccines for certain diseases from the VFC program. The program shall include measures to capitalize on this Commonwealth’s health centers and National leadership in vaccine research, development and manufacturing. The Department of Health shall collaborate with AAP and other leading medical associations to ensure that the program relies on accurate guidance regarding vaccines for children.
