Rule 822. Drivers to park within metered parking spaces; violation as civil infraction

(1) Every vehicle shall be parked wholly within the metered parking space for which the meter shows a parking privilege has been granted, except that a vehicle that is too large to be parked within a single designated parking meter zone shall be permitted to occupy 2 adjoining parking meter spaces if coins are deposited in the parking meter for each space occupied, as required in this code for the parking of other vehicles in that space. (2) A person who violates this rule is responsible for a civil infraction.
