(1) The driver of any vehicle shall obey the instructions of any official traffic- control device that is placed in accordance with a traffic control order or a traffic ordinance of any governmental unit having authority over that highway, unless otherwise directed by a police officer. (2) A person who violates this rule is responsible for a civil infraction.
