(1) All veterinary laboratories must notify the state veterinarian of preliminary and final positive test results of diseases identified in WAC 16-70-010 (1)(a) and (b) as follows: (a) Immediately when a disease agent listed in Table 1 in WAC 16-70-020 is identified: (i) By culture, isolation, PCR, or sequencing; or (ii) By single serum titer and paired with clinical signs of disease; or (iii) By paired serology (acute and convalescent) and paired with clinical signs of disease. (b) Immediately when the disease is a new, emerging, or unusual animal disease, or a zoonotic disease. (c) Monthly when the disease agent is identified by serology with no clinical signs of disease. (2) Veterinary laboratories reporting to the state veterinarian shall provide a laboratory report with the following information: (a) Laboratory name; (b) Submitter's name (name of veterinarian and/or owner); (c) Submitter's phone number; (d) Submitter's county; (e) Animal species; (f) Laboratory confirmed test result. (3) Reports may be submitted to the state veterinarian in the following ways: (a) Online at https://fortress.wa.gov/agr.apps/rad/ ; (b) Phone at 360-902-1878; (c) Email at [email protected] ; (d) Fax at 360-902-2087.
