Subpart 1. Registration. An installer shall register with the department to obtain seals by providing a copy (proof) of a manufactured home installer's license issued by the commissioner or a reciprocal state or United States jurisdiction prior to obtaining required installation certificates and seals under part 1350.0600 , subpart 2. Registration shall be renewed every three years. Subp. 2. Reciprocity. An installer who holds and maintains an unexpired license or certificate issued by any state other than Minnesota or by a United States jurisdiction in which the licensing or certification and renewal requirements meet or exceed Minnesota's licensing and renewal requirements as determined by the commissioner is exempt from the requirement to obtain licensure in Minnesota as a manufactured home installer if the installer: A. provides proof of valid license or certification to the commissioner; B. provides proof of public liability insurance coverage in the amount of $300,000 per occurrence and $10,000 property damage coverage; C. posts a bond of at least $2,500; and D. registers in accordance with subpart 1.
