Purchase of credit pursuant to section 145.293 of the Revised Code.

(A) For the purpose of section 145.293 of the Revised Code "comparable position" means a comparable public position that, if it had been performed for an Ohio public employer, would have been covered by an Ohio state retirement system. (B) A member shall have at least twelve months of contributing service for purposes of the calculation described in rules 145-2-02 and 145-3-23 of the Administrative Code and shall apply for the purchase of service credit on a form provided by the public employees retirement system. (C) Service credit under section 145.293 of the Revised Code may be purchased if such credit cannot be purchased in another Ohio state retirement system and will not exceed the limitations of section 145.293 of the Revised Code.
