A. The laboratory shall have a policy and procedures for the selection and purchasing of services and supplies it uses that affect the quality of environmental tests. Procedures shall exist for the purchase, reception and storage of reagents and laboratory consumable materials relevant for the environmental tests. B. The laboratory shall ensure that purchased equipment and consumable materials are not used until they have been inspected, calibrated or otherwise verified as complying with standard specifications or requirements defined in the methods for the tests concerned. These services and supplies used shall comply with specified requirements. Records of actions taken to check compliance shall be maintained. C. The laboratory shall maintain records of all suppliers from whom it obtains support services or supplies required for tests. Statutory Authority: § 2.2-1105 of the Code of Virginia.
