Medications

01. Taking Samples. The Commission Veterinarian, the Racing Commission, or any member of the Board of Stewards may take samples of any medicines or other materials suspected of containing improper medication, drugs or chemicals that would affect the racing condition of a horse in a race. (7-1-24) 02. Location. Any substances found in stables or elsewhere on the grounds of a racing association or in the possession of any person connected with racing are subject to sampling. (7-1-24) 03. Testing. Substances sampled must be delivered to a laboratory designated by the Racing Commission for testing. (7-1-24)
