NAC 127.385 Duties of agency regarding biological parent considering consenting to specific adoption. ( NRS 127.230 ) If a biological parent is considering consenting to a specific adoption, the agency which provides child welfare services shall: 1. Provide information regarding counseling, the State Register for Adoptions and education regarding adoption to the biological parent to ensure that the decision to consent to the adoption of the child is made without coercion and not under duress or undue influence; 2. Provide information to the biological parent regarding alternatives to adoption; 3. Collect the information required pursuant to subsection 1 of NAC 127.380 ; 4. Advise the biological parent that he or she may read the home study conducted of the prospective adoptive parent; and 5. Facilitate a request pursuant to the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children as required by NRS 127.330 , if applicable. (Added to NAC by Div. of Child & Fam.
