(A) All dogs and cats imported into Ohio must be accompanied by a certificate of veterinary inspection indicating freedom from disease and be currently vaccinated against rabies in accordance with the national association of state public health veterinarian's (NASPHV) compendium of animal rabies control recommendations. (B) Animals in transit should be accompanied by a currently valid NASPHV form #51, rabies vaccination certificate.
