Act―Act 589 of the 1993 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature. Certified Prescribed Burn Manager—an individual who has successfully completed the prescribed burning certification program of the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center or other approved program and is certified by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Commissioner―the Commissioner of the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Department―Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Non-Certified Prescribed Burn Manager—an individual who has not successfully completed the prescribed burning certification program of the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center or other approved program and is not certified by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Prescribed Burning Certificate―document issued by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry certifying that the document holder has completed the requirements of Louisiana R.S. 3:17 and this rule.
