R2-12-1101. Definitions The following definitions shall apply in this Article unless the context otherwise requires: “Acknowledgment” means the same as defined in A.R.S. § 41- 311(1). “Bond” means a surety bond to the state, with sureties approved by the clerk of the superior court in the county in which the individual is being commissioned as a notary public. “Copy certification” means the same as defined in A.R.S. § 41-311(3). “Credible person” means a person used to identify a signer when the signer does not have other satisfactory evidence of identity as specified in A.R.S. § 41-311(11). “Jurat” means the same as defined in A.R.S. § 41-311(6). “Oath” or “affirmation” means the same as defined in A.R.S. § 41-311(10). “Satisfactory evidence of identity” means the same as defined in A.R.S. § 41-311(11).
