Definitions

Unless the context requires otherwise, in this chapter, (1) "department" means the Department of Administration; (2) "division" means the division of motor vehicles in the department; (3) "hearing office" means the duty station of motor vehicle hearing officers located at the division's main office; (4) "normal business hours" means 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except a state holiday; (5) "peace officer" has the meaning given in AS 01.10.060; (6) "working day" means a calendar day, except Saturday, Sunday, and a state holiday.
