CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF CONTAINERS AND EQUIPMENT

All containers and equipment with which honey comes in contact shall be constructed in such manner as to be easily cleaned, and shall be kept clean and in good repair. All equipment that comes in contact with honey and all containers shall be free from rust and other extraneous material and shall be thoroughly cleaned before reuse. Stationary machinery and equipment shall be sufficiently spaced from each other and from walls to facilitate cleaning. All open type equipment with which honey comes in contact shall be equipped with suitable overlapping covers.

The packing and handling of containers and container cans and covers shall be conducted in a sanitary manner. Statutory Authority: MS s 31.11 ; 31.73
