A. Plant employees shall wash their hands before beginning work and upon returning to work after using toilet facilities, eating, smoking, or otherwise soiling their hands. Plant employees shall keep their hands clean and follow good hygienic practices while on duty. Expectorating or use of tobacco in any form shall be prohibited in rooms and compartments where milk, dairy products, mix, or frozen desserts are unpacked or exposed. Clean white or light colored washable outer-garments and adequate hair restraints shall be worn by all persons engaged in processing milk, dairy products, mix, or frozen desserts. B. Employees engaged in manual molding, wrapping, and touching any product contact surface shall wash their hands with hot, soapy water and dry their hands with single-use paper towels or an approved hand drying device before beginning such work and after each interruption.
