CLASSIFICATION OF DATA

In order to comply with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, sections 13.02 , 13.04 , and 13.05 , the responsible authority shall: A. review and identify all of the types of data maintained by the entity, including data retained as active and inactive; B. determine what types of data maintained by the entity are classified as private or confidential, according to the definitions of those terms pursuant to part 1205.0200 and Minnesota Statutes, section 13.02 ; C. identify either a state statute or provisions of federal law supporting any determination that certain data is either private or confidential; and D. administer all agency data in accordance with the determinations made under item B.
