(a) On notice to the Court or the Clerk that the parties have settled an action, and upon confirmation of the settlement by all parties, the Court may issue a judgment dismissing the action by reason of settlement. The Court shall issue the order without prejudice to the parties’ right to secure reinstatement of the case within thirty (30) days after the date of judgment by making a showing that the settlement was not, in fact, consummated. (b) If the Court decides not to follow the procedures set forth in L.R. 68.2(a), the parties shall file within thirty (30) days of the notification to the Court, unless otherwise directed by written order, such pleadings as are necessary to terminate the action. If the required documents are not filed within the thirty (30) day period, the Clerk shall place the action on the dismissal calendar.
