(A) Court Authorization Required. A party who is not represented by an attorney and who has moved or intends to move for leave to proceed in forma pauperis must not serve process—and must not request a waiver of service under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(d)(1)—until the Court enters an order authorizing it. The Court may direct the manner of serving process or requesting a waiver. (B) Serving a Correctional Officer or Employee.

The Court may direct the manner of personal service on a correctional officer or other employee of a correctional facility and may require the use of a process server designated for a specific correctional facility.
