B-7008-1 Responsive Pleadings (a) Responsive pleadings under Fed. R. Civ. P. 7(a) must: (1) restate verbatim the paragraphs from the pleading they respond to; and (2) immediately following each restated paragraph, state the response to that paragraph. (b) If the responding party requests a word processor version of the document, the other party must email a copy to the responding party as soon as reasonably possible. (c) This rule does not apply to pro se cases.

This new rule was adopted by Order Amending Local Bankruptcy Rules dated January 17, 2023, addressing a responsive pleadings.
