(a) The Chief Judge may, after recommendation by the Lawyers's Advisory Committee and with the approval of the Court, authorize the relaxation, dispensation or modification of any Rule on a temporary basis. The effective period of any such authorization shall not exceed one year. (b) Unless otherwise stated, any Rule may be relaxed or dispensed with by the Court if adherence would result in surprise or injustice.
