It shall be the responsibility of the government to promptly file a Notice of Related Supervised-Release Case whenever a criminal case charges a violation of 8 12/1/2025 Chapter III - 2 LOCAL RULES – CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA U.S.C. § 1326 against a defendant who is serving a term of supervised release in this district for a previous violation of 8 U.S.C. §§ 1325 or 1326. Whenever practicable, the United States Attorney shall file the Notice with the charging document and serve it on defense counsel promptly after defense counsel’s identity has been ascertained.
