(a) Unless a statute or court order provides otherwise, a motion for attorney’s fees under Fed. R. Civ. P. 54 must be filed not later than forty-five days after the entry of judgment. (b) An attorney seeking fees awarded under 42 U.S.C. §§ 406(b) or 1383(d) of the Social Security Act must file a motion for fees no later than forty-five days after entry of judgment or the date shown on the face of the social security certificate award (notice of award), whichever is later.
