(a) Findings and Recommendations by the Magistrate Judge. All dispositive motions in criminal cases shall be heard by a district judge, unless specifically referred to a magistrate judge pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 636(b)(1)(B). Any party may move for reconsideration before the magistrate judge pursuant to CrimLR60.1. A reconsideration motion shall toll the time in which objections from the magistrate judge’s findings and recommendations must be filed and served.

(b) Objections to Reports and Recommendations in Dispositive Matters. Any party who objects to any portion of a magistrate judge’s findings and recommendations must serve and file written objections to such findings and recommendations within fourteen (14) days after being served with a copy of the recommended disposition. Briefing requirements and deadlines are governed by CrimLR12.2.
