PRE-2024 COMMITTEE NOTE

The provisions of Local Civil Rule 11.1 deal with topics that are not covered in Fed. R.

Civ. P. 11. Recommended Local Civil Rule 11.1(b), which is based upon similar

provisions in other local rules, is intended to set simple and easily followed minimum

standards for legibility of documents filed with the Court.

2024 COMMITTEE NOTE

Subsection (b), was amended to allow individual judges to require different formatting

or fonts, as set forth in their individual practices, which are available on the court

websites.

2025 COMMITTEE NOTE

The provisions of this rule have been incorporated into revised Local Civil Rule 7.1.
