U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa
Parties answering interrogatories under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 33 or requests for admissions under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 36 must repeat the respective interrogatories or requests for admissions immediately preceding the answers. To facilitate this rule, a party propounding interrogatories or requests for admissions must leave a reasonable space for an answer immediately following each interrogatory or request for admission; however, the parties are encouraged to include more than one interrogatory and request for admission on each page. The propounding party also is encouraged to provide the discovery requests to the answering party via email or other electronic means in a compatible word processing format. 29
