Defendant. Whenever a document relating to the release or detention of a pretrial defendant is filed with the court, a copy of the document shall be served on the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Office. This rule applies to, for example, motions to detain, motions for reconsideration of a release or detention order, and appeals of a magistrate judge’s release or detention order.
