The automatic stay does not preclude the establishment or modification of a domestic support obligation order as permitted by 11 U.S.C. § 362(b)(2)(A)(ii). The debtor(s) will continue to pay directly or by payroll deduction domestic support obligations that are due and payable postpetition, regardless of whether a proof of claim is filed. If a claim for a prepetition domestic support obligation arrearage is filed, the allowed claim will be paid in full by the trustee unless the obligation has been assigned to, or is owned by, a governmental unit and may be paid less under 11 U.S.C. § 1322(a)(4).
