After a detention order is issued, a party may request reconsidera- tion of the order based on new evidence or may appeal the order to a district judge. A party requesting review of a detention order must state in the caption whether the request is one for reconsideration or is an appeal to a district judge.
A party appealing a detention order must file a written motion containing a statement of the grounds for the appeal and a statement that a transcript of the detention hearing has been ordered.
