CASES (a) On motion by the debtor and after notice and a hearing, the court may approve a compromise or settlement. Notice shall be given as provided in FRBP 9019 or as otherwise ordered by the court. (b) Unless otherwise ordered by the court, court approval is not required if the amount to be paid to the debtor(s) as a result of the settlement is $5,000 or less.
