The court hereby constitutes a committee on local criminal rules comprised of 5 members of the bar of this court whose practice is primarily criminal, including as permanent members, the U.S. Attorney and the Federal Public Defender of this district, or their designees. The court clerk or the clerk’s designee shall also be a permanent member of the committee. The Chief Judge shall appoint committee members for terms of no more than 3 years. This committee is established for the purpose of receiving comments and recommendations from any member of the bar of this court or any other interested person, as well as updating these rules on a regular basis.

The committee shall meet annually or as necessary.
