Except as set forth in these rules, any Magistrate Judge has the authority to fix or modify bail, approve or disapprove sureties and bonds, and conduct detention hearings and issue release and detention orders, as provided by 18 U.S.C. § 3142, including with respect to bail or detention recommended or set in another district in a case arising in this or another district.
