When appropriate in a criminal context, the Local Rules of Civil Procedure may also apply to criminal cases. To avoid unnecessary repetition, where local rules are equally applicable to both criminal and civil practice, specific reference is made herein to the appropriate local civil rule. Where appropriate in a criminal context, the following local civil rules are also deemed applicable to criminal cases: USDCLR 65.1 Bonds; USDCLR 67.1 Deposits; Withdrawals in the Registry of the Court; USDCLR 83.1 Sessions of Court; USDCLR 83.2 Powers of the Court; USDCLR 83.3 Cameras and Recording devices; USDCLR 5.1(g) Filing Cases and Documents Under Seal or as Non-Public (civil cases only); USDCLR 40.1 Assignment of Cases for Trial; Rule 84.1 – 84.13 inclusive; and USDCLR 84.3 Appearances and Withdrawals.
