Rule 1.1 Scope and Citation
(a) Scope of the Rules. Pursuant to Fed. R. Crim. P. 57, the following Local
Criminal Rules for the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, will hereafter control the conduct of criminal proceedings in this Court. Nothing in these Rules shall be construed in a manner inconsistent with the above cited Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
(b) Citation. These Rules shall be cited as "Local Criminal Rules" or
abbreviated as "LCrR."
(c) Effective Date. These Rules shall apply to all cases pending in this district
on or after the effective date of January 1, 1992.
(d) Construction of Rules. These Rules shall be construed to achieve an
orderly administration of the business of this Court; to govern the practice of attorneys before this Court; and to secure the just, speedy and inexpensive determination of all litigation coming before this Court.
